Why did you start Senior Technology Solutions?

I started Senior Technology Solutions based on my experiences helping my parents through multiple transitions. The things I did enabled them to stay connected with family and friends through those transitions. I want to help other families experience those same benefits.

Part of what inspired me to action was my family’s experience with Andrew Diedeker of Simple Senior Solutions. Andrew stepped my mom through a conversation focused on identifying what was important to her in an assisted living community. Within 48 hours, he returned to Mom with a prioritized list of four communities that best fit her preferences, including some that we had not previously been aware of. Then he set up and accompanied us on tours of Mom’s top two choices the following day. Andrew’s knowledge, professionalism, and caring approach took most of the stress and time out of this process. He gave Mom and the rest of the family confidence about her choice of assisted living communities.

A few weeks later, cousins in another state went through this same decision process with their mom. They did not find an Andrew in their community, so they had a much more stressful and time-consuming experience. This brought home to me the need for someone to help families with technology the way Andrew helps them with many other aspects of selecting and transitioning to a senior living community.
